Grandma Dot
Grandma Dot – in real life – was my mother, Dorothy. After a short illness and at the age of 86 years, my darling mother passed away on May 15, 2015.
Dot always led a very active life and in her younger days she was part of a singing group or acted in a play or pantomime. Her favourite sports were tennis and lawn bowls and she enjoyed gardening.
Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, Dot will be missed very much by her family and friends. For me, she was a wonderful mother who I adored. In the coming years, she will be remembered not just by us her family but as the lovable character “Grandma Dot” in my children’s picture books and little children everywhere will know her name. Again she will walk and talk, sing and dance with little Bonnie by her side and won’t that be fun! Love you Mum, RIP.
Uncle Jim
Jim MacLaren was a friend of mine who I had known for about three years. Jim lived in the USA and was a well known athlete and motivational speaker. He was awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage Award in 2005 by Oprah Winfrey.
In May 2010, I visited Jim in Pennsylvania but sadly that was the last time I would see him as he passed away on August 31, 2010 at the age of 47.

Bonnie
Bonnie was my little dog. She was a Maltese/West Highland White Terrier and had lived with me in my home since she was 8 weeks old.
In 2010 at 12 years of age, she lost her eyesight but still managed to find her way around the house, up and down the stairs and in and out of her doggy door. She loved going for walks in the park but most of all loved to go for a drive in the car with me.
Sadly, at the age of 14, Bonnie’s little body was tired and she passed away February 16, 2013.
